YOU DEFEATED
Changes all the boss defeat messages to “YOU DEFEATED” just like dark souls II used to.
Compatible with ERR
This will only work for engUS versions of the game.
If you are using Elden Ring Reforged then make sure to use the correct ERR file instead of the vanilla one.
Install:
1. Download “Mod Engine 2” from: Releases · soulsmods/ModEngine2 · GitHub
2. Extract “Mod Engine 2” contents to any directory you want.
3. past msg folder into mod engine 2’s mod folder
This will collide with any other mod that modifies menu.msgbnd.dcx. Mod’s that change the flash banner text such as “YOU DIED” wont be compatible.
This was made using UXM to unpack the game files and then converting fmg files to XML and just replacing the text in the XML. Then converting back to fmg and then packaging the DCX back together.
