Vanilla Plus – More Enemy Spawns and Mini-Boss Randomizer (Preset)

Adds randomization to mini-bosses, and increases enemy world spawns in a lore-friendly way.

I wanted to replay Elden Ring but found it a bit too predictable after completing it once. I wasn’t happy with just how random the Item and Enemy Randomizer tool is by default, so I spent a lot of time tweaking it to get it just right

Included is a randomizer file that has changes to items and enemies, and a preset file for just changes to enemies.

This preset works by only making changes to wildlife spawn and minor bosses, to make the game world still feel logical. Wildlife will still spawn, but there is a 45% chance for it to be replaced with a hostile alternative. I chose enemies that fit best into any area of the game world, which helps make it feel less empty.

Complete list of changes to enemies:
Preset: VanillaPlus
Replacing Regular Enemies: Not randomized
Replacing Major Bosses: Not randomized
Replacing Minor Bosses: Minor Bosses
Replacing World Minibosses: World Minibosses
Replacing Night Minibosses: Night Minibosses
Replacing Dragon Minibosses: Not randomized
Replacing Evergaol Minibosses: Not randomized
Replacing Passive Wildlife:
– 55% Passive Wildlife
– 25% Page; Kaiden Sellsword
– 15% Dog
– 5% Rat
Replacing Hostile Humans: Not randomized
Replacing Scarabs: Not randomized
Not randomized: Major Bosses; Margit; Grafted Scion; Tibia Mariner; Godrick Soldier; Guardian Golem; Eagle; Owl; Guillemot; Giant Dragonfly
Excluded: Major Bosses; Dragons; Godrick Soldier; Night’s Cavalry
Adjusted to 50%: Page
Adjusted to 50%: Kaiden Sellsword

Installation:
You’ll need to download and install the Elden Ring Item and Enemy Randomizer first. There will be instructions on how to do that on its page and in the readme file it contains.

After that, when running EldenRingRandomizer.exe, select Options > Load options file > vanillaPlus.randomizeopt.
Alternatively, if you just want the preset for enemies only, in the randomizer select Enemy Randomizer > tick Custom enemy placements > Edit Custom enemy placement > Open Presets directory > VanillaPlus.txt.

Updating / re-randomizing:
Simply run the Randomizer again over the same regulation.bin.
If you encounter any issues, reset your regulation.bin file. If you don’t have a backup, you can delete the file and choose “Verify integrity of game files” on Steam.
