The intention with these save files is to have all PvP related items already collected while remaining the lowest level possible. You should be able to load this save file, level it up to whatever you want and immediately start PvP without having to spend tons of time collecting all the necessary items first.
If you use other save files that have been created using cheat engine to spawn items, you may get a warning message asking you to delete your save file or risk losing access to online play. I got one of these messages after downloading a different save file, which inspired me to create this one! I have collected all the key items (cookbooks, cracked pots etc) and spells in these save files legitimately and without any cheats or mods! This means you can use this save file to play online without having to worry about the anti-cheat flagging your account for cheating.
I have completed the game up until travelling to Crumbling Farum Azula on both characters in this save file. The reason for not travelling there is because when you burn the Erdtree the game world starts raining embers down everywhere and I wanted to avoid this cosmetic change, as well as leaving Leyndell the way it started. If you want to unlock the collectibles from Crumbling Farum Azula, you should be able to level up and go there immediately (fire giant is already killed on both characters).
The Vagabond save file has most magic spells unlocked but it is meant to be a melee build as the stat spread for this class is min-maxed for melee.
The Wretch save file has all spells unlocked except for those found in/after Crumbling Farum Azula, this file should be used for any magic based characters as the stat spread will be better for pure casters. The Wretch also has all quests completed except for those that give pre-upgraded weapons, and nothing in the game that is missable due to progressing quests has been missed (gestures, items etc). This is the most completed character and would be excellent for any DLC content that is released in the future as you really have nothing else left to do in the base game besides the Crumbling Farum Azula dungeon.
When loading the characters for the first time, you will be in the Roundtable Hold next to the mirror. Interacting with the mirror will allow you to change your name and appearance to whatever you want before starting to actually play.
No pre-upgraded weapons were collected on either character and quests that provide such items were avoided. This is because when you have an upgraded weapon in your inventory, you will forever be matched with people around that same weapon level upgrade and you will never be able to match with people of significantly lower weapon level ever again, even if you drop the upgraded weapons.
Installation guide:
Step 1: Download save file and save copier application
In order to use my save file, you need to download the “Elden Ring Save Copier” application from here: https://github.com/BenGrn/EldenRingSaveCopier/releases
Download my save file from this page, unzip it
The unzipped save file and the “Elden Ring Save Copier” application will now likely both be in your “Downloads” folder (C:\Users\username\Downloads)
Step 2: Back up your save file (optional step)
Navigate to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing\76561198134541616
Make a backup copy of your save file (ER0000.sl2), store the copy somewhere safe such as your cloud storage account. This is an optional step but highly recommended
If your save file is ever corrupted for any reason, you can use the “Elden Ring Save Copier” application to restore your backed up save file. The same way you copy my character onto your save file, you would just use that same process to copy your own character back onto your own save file.
Step 3: Copy my character into your save file
Open the “Elden Ring Save Copier” application (EldenRingSaveCopy.exe)
Choose my save file in the “Source” field (probably in your unzipped “C:\Users\username\Downloads\Invader-save-file” folder, it’s the file called “ER0000.sl2”)
Choose your save file in the “Destination” field (in your “C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing\76561198134541616” folder, it’s the file called “ER0000.sl2”)
Choose “Vagabond” or “Wretch” under the “Copy from” menu and choose an empty slot under the “Copy to” menu, then click “Copy”
I have posted a picture of what this will look like, see pictures section for reference.
Step 4: Delete certain files from your save folder, then start the game and play!
After the character is copied into your save file, make sure to delete all of the other files from the “C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing\76561198134541616” folder so that the “ER0000.sl2” file is the only thing left in the folder (you will probably have deleted a backup file and a cloud file). You only need to do this once, those files will be regenerated when you start the game again and you can leave the regenerated files alone after that point.
Start Elden Ring and load my save file. Enjoy!
NOTE:
I have also included in the “optional files” a version of the save file that includes all tradable items (all weapons/armor/talismans/crafting materials etc). This version of the save was created using cheat engine, but because I only spawned the tradable items and not the non-tradables such as cracked pots/incantations etc, this should still be safe to use online. If you are at all suspicious of this, go ahead and use the “main” version of the save that was not created with cheat engine (the one named “Invader Save File”).
