Transmogrify Armor
Change your gear’s appearance without changing its stats, or hide your helm or other armor parts. Compatible with vanilla, The Convergence mod, Reforged, and Detailed Item Descriptions.
Transmogrification (AKA transmog) allows you to modify the cosmetic appearance of your armor while keeping the original stats intact. You can make armor pieces resemble any other piece in the game, or make them invisible to benefit from their effects without covering up your character.
Installation
- Download ModEngine2 and extract the ZIP somewhere.
- Extract the contents of the ertransmogrify folder into the mod folder.
- Double-click launchmod_eldenring.bat to start the game.
To play without the mod, just launch the game normally from Steam.
Important: Before switching back to the vanilla game, untransmogrify or discard any armor you changed with this mod. You could also back up and restore your save file before and after playing the mod. Playing online with transmogrified armor won’t work, and might get you banned if you try anyways.
Installing with Detailed Item Descriptions
- Install the Detailed Item Descriptions mod using the “Primary Method” in the mod description. Tested with version 1.3.3.
- Extract the ertransmogrify-detailed-item-descriptions folder and put it in the ModEngine-2.0.0-… folder.
- Edit the mods config in config_eldenring.toml as follows to enable the mod:
mods = [
{ enabled = true, name = “Transmogrify”, path = “ertransmogrify-detailed-item-descriptions” },
{ enabled = true, name = “default”, path = “mod” }
] - Double-click launchmod_eldenring.bat to start the game.
Installing with The Convergence
- Install The Convergence mod using the instructions in the mod description. Tested with version 1.2.
- Extract the ertransmogrify-convergence folder and put it in the ConvergenceER folder.
- Edit the mods config in config_eldenring.toml as follows to enable the mod:
mods = [
{ enabled = true, name = “Transmogrify”, path = “ertransmogrify-convergence” },
{ enabled = true, name = “default”, path = “mod” }
] - Double-click launchmod_eldenring.bat to start the game.
Installing with Elden Ring Reforged (ERR)
- Install the Elden Ring Reforged mod using the instructions in the mod description. Tested with version 0.8.0.
- Extract the ertransmogrify-reforged folder and put it in the ModEngine-2.0.0-… folder.
- Edit the mods config in config_eldenring.toml as follows to enable the mod:
mods = [
{ enabled = true, name = “Transmogrify”, path = “ertransmogrify-reforged” },
{ enabled = true, name = “default”, path = “mod” }
] - Double-click launchmod_eldenring.bat to start the game.
NOTE: When using this mod with Elden Ring Reforged, you can only transmog at Fia’s mirror. The site of grace menu won’t have the “transmogrify equipment” option, since Reforged uses this menu for other features.
Usage
Choose the Transmogrify Equipment option while resting at a Site of Grace, or at Fia’s mirror in Roundtable Hold.
Select the base armor based on the stats you want.
Select the target armor which determines the new appearance of the armor. You can pick from any compatible set, not just ones in your inventory. There’s also an Invisible option to make the armor hidden.
After accepting the transmogrification, the base armor will have the appearance of the target armor. The name will be something like Festive Garb (Transmogrified Scaled Armor), and the icon will also be changed to reflect the new appearance. You can repeat the process to undo this.
Limitations
- Only chest pieces and legs can be given a new appearance. Helms and gauntlets can be hidden, but not transmogrified.
- Armor can’t currently be both altered and transmogrified. You won’t see altered armor in the transmogrify menu unless you unalter it first.
- Weapons can’t be transmogrified.
- New armor sets added in The Convergence (or other mods this is merged with) can’t be transmogged
