Lord’s Dark Moon Greatsword
Makes your wedding gift better.
The Dark Moon Greatsword felt lackluster in combat. This mod aims to make it a worthy weapon for a Lord.
Changes are much less extensive than in my previous mod. I’ve altered only the attacks that are unique to the Dark Moon Greatsword, all of which are standing heavy attacks. No regulation.bin changes this time, for ease of use and ease of updating in the future. Also, I’ve applied my changes similarly to the one-handed and two-handed attacks, this time around. They function in the same way.
Here’s what I changed or added to the moveset:
Quasi-passive — Cold Oath: whenever you perform a standing heavy attack with this weapon, your determination vastly increases your poise, rendering your heavy attacks more difficult to interrupt.
First charged heavy attack — Fading Eclipse: shroud your corporeality during the wind-up of the attack, gaining i-frames.
First uncharged heavy attack: it works the same way, but executes more quickly and possesses fewer i-frames.
Second charged heavy attack — Entropic Purge: expunges thermal energy from the area in front of you, bringing a tide of bitter cold.
Second uncharged heavy attack: it works similarly to the charged attack, but only the chilling mist will spawn, and the hoarfrost will not.
Charged heavy attacks with Moonlight Greatsword buff active: Merciless Light — instead of one projectile wave of frost, you now get four, in rapid succession. This ability WILL hit your stamina bar hard. But not to worry, for your stamina regen has been boosted tremendously during this attack.
Installation:
Option 1, if you don’t care about merging — Get ModEngine2 if you don’t have it already. Open the ‘mod’ folder within your ModEngine2 directory, and create a folder named ‘chr’ if you don’t have one already. Drop my c0000.dcx file into that ‘chr’ folder, and run the game using the ModEngine launcher.
Option 2, if you want to merge — use Yabber to unpack the c0000 file that you already possess (also, make a backup of this file if you haven’t done so already). Download my a129.tae file, and paste it into the taes folder within your unpacked c0000 folder, replacing the existing a129.tae file. Use Yabber to repack the c0000 file, and then place that file in your ModEngine ‘chr’ folder, and run the game.
