Increased Draw Distance

Changed every Draw Distance Scale End and Shadow Draw Distance Scale End to 1. Should make every entry in LoadBalancerNewDrawDistScaleParam_win64 always visible or at least stop them from going invisible/semi-visible or changing lods too soon.

Based on my findings while testing Increased Draw Distance for Enemies and NPCs (Former True Invisible Enemies and NPCs Bug Fix) and Performance Boost For Potato PC. (Plus guides and more), it loooks like the value 1 makes things always visible. Enemies and NPCs were invisible on previous versions of the game cause they were using 0, where 0 means don’t draw/render.

Some entries like Big Trees and Small Bushes are using 0.5 or 0.8, so that means that after a certain distance their models will change to lower lods or stop rendering/drawing.

The Max Draw Distance variant is highly experimental. Apart from maxing out everything in LoadBalancerNewDrawDistScaleParam_win64, I’ve also maxed out the values in PartsDrawParam. There’s definitely a difference (most noticeable on shadows and trees). But I’ve lost 30 frames lol. I’m playing on a potato tho (3200g radeon 8 with 16gbs of ram).

Do not use this in online mode!

  1. Make a backup of your save.
  2. Make a backup of your regulation.bin file located in your game’s folder: D:\…\ELDEN RING\Game\
  3. Put the edited regulation file in your game’s folder.
  4. Launch the game in offline mode with EAC disabled.
  5. Details on how to launch the game without EAC:
    Elden Ring – PCGamingWiki
    Anti-cheat toggler and offline launcher
    Offline launcher (No EAC)
  6. Enjoy.

Optional .csv file if you want to edit this mod or merge it with another mod that uses regulation.bin.

  1. Download Yapped-Rune-Bear.
  2. Go to File and pick Elden Ring from the top down menu. (Should have Dark souls picked as default?)
  3. Go to Settings-> View Settings-> Data-> CSV Delimiter in Yapped and make sure Yapped is using “;” and not “,” as a delimiter (without “”).
  4. Download your favorite mod.
  5. Download this mod’s .csv files.
  6. Put the .csv files in D:\..\Yapped-Rune-Bear_2_00\Projects\ExampleMod\CSV\ER
  7. Launch Yapped and open your mod’s regulation.bin using File->Open.
  8. Go to LoadBalancerNewDrawDistScaleParam_win64 and do Tools->Import Data.
  9. If you are getting errors while trying to import my .csv files, open my mod’s regulation.bin, go to whatever I’ve edited/you need on the left panel and do Tools->Export Data. Do this for whatever else you need/I’ve edited. Then follow steps 4,7,8.
  10. Save by using File->Save.
  11. Enjoy
