Contrast and Color
Simple Reshade preset giving Elden Ring more contrast, more brightness and slightly more color. Keeps the original feel and no FPS loss.
You want Elden Ring to look original but you lack a bit of contrast, brightness and a slight color boost? You want to remove that hazy misty veil that seem to cover your screen when playing this game? You don’t want to lose any FPS? Then you’ve come to the right place!
Installation:
Download the Reshade installer at “Reshade.me” and run the installation from anywhere on your computer. Point to EldenRing.exe when asked, choose DirectX11/12 and choose to download all files/effects (you dont need all the effects for my preset but if you decide to download other presets you will be ready for them). When done just exit the installer. You do not need to choose preset at the end. You will do that int the game. Next step.
Now move my Reshade preset (ContrastAndColor.ini) to your EldenRing/Game folder (wherever you have it installed). I have my games on another SSD (D:) so my path is probably different from yours.
Now fire Elden Ring up. Load up your save (Continue i guess). When you are in the game Hit “HOME” on your keyboard. Tell the Reshade tutorial to take a hike if it shows up and then on the first tab (“HOME”) almost at the top click the bar that says “Reshade” (that has a + next to it) to load my preset. Choose “ContrastAndColor” and there ya go! Now you have more contrast, more brightness and a slightly more colorful world. If you want to be able to toggle the effect on and off please read on. If not just skip the next step.
Set up a button to toggle Reshade effects on/off:
I recommend you go to the Settings tab and set a button not used by the game to toggle Reshade on/off. I put it on “numpad *” but you do you (it is next to the “-” sign at the far right end on your keyboard). This way if you want to fiddle around with presets yourself (its fun, and its easy to get carried away, lel) then you can turn it off and on to quickly check how much of a mess you’ve really done! If that’s not your bag though and you just want to see things clearer and have slightly more color then you’re already set! You are already done! Go play!
For you Reshader folk all i’ve done is this:
[Levels.fx]
BlackPoint=6
HighlightClipping=0
WhitePoint=205
[Vibrance.fx]
Vibrance=0.300000
VibranceRGBBalance=0.500000,0.800000,0.500000
Corrected some colors so it doesnt look too yellow and strange when upping the vibrance and i gave it some more contrast and brightness. I do have a crazy preset to make the game look insane-ly awesome. Maybe i’ll share it in the future hue hue hue.
Thanks for taking the time checking this out and downloading it.
