Reworked Multiplayer Items for Offline Mode

Reworks (almost) every multiplayer item to be usable in offline mode with new, useful effects.

Reworked Multiplayer Items

Reworks almost every multiplayer item to be usable in offline mode with new, useful effects.

These items have limited uses, but cost FP to use and will recharge when you rest at a grace like the Crimson and Cerulean flasks.

If you’ve already picked up some of these items on your character, see the “Potential issues” section.

WARNING

Using this mod in regular online mode WILL GET YOU BANNED!
This mod adds new items to the game, which the game servers and anticheat will notice on your save and ban you for having.
If you’re going to go online, either use a separate save or make VERY sure that you’ve deleted all traces of this mod before doing so.
Seamless Coop is 100% safe to use this with, as it has it’s own separate save system and doesn’t sync with the regular online servers at all.

With Seamless Coop, make sure everyone has the exact same version installed!
I can’t help you with any problems that may come up because someone in your group doesn’t have the same version as another person.
At best it will cause your games to desync, and at worst it might crash your games or not let you connect to each other.
This means you must all be using the same version number and file.

Changes:
Furlcalling Finger Remedy:

  • Now functions similarly to a Dried Root
  • Heals a total of 1,500 HP and 200 FP over 5 minutes (5 HP every second, and 2 FP every 3 seconds)
  • Can only carry 3 at a time
  • Crafting recipe requires more items to compensate

Tarnished’s Furled Finger

  • Heals 300 HP over 30 seconds (10 HP per second)
  • Affects you and all nearby allies

Small Golden Effigy

  • Increases damage negation by 10%
  • Lasts for 90 seconds
  • Affects you and all nearby allies

Duelist’s Furled Finger

  • Increases damage dealt by 25% but reduces damage negation by 25%
  • Can’t use your flask to heal during this time (duelist’s rules)
  • Lasts for 45 seconds
  • Counts as a body buff

Small Red Effigy

  • Increases damage dealt by 10%
  • Lasts for 90 seconds
  • Affects you and all nearby allies

Bloody Finger

  • Gives a shield which reduces damage taken by 30% for a single hit, then breaks
  • Increases damage dealt by 15% as long as the shield is active
  • Lasts for 2 minutes if not broken
  • Counts as a body buff

Recusant Finger

  • Increases your poise by 20% and the poise damage you deal by 20%
  • Lasts for 60 seconds
  • Counts as a body buff

Festering Bloody Finger

  • Now functions as a regular consumable
  • Instantly restores 100 HP and 5 FP

Blue Cipher Ring

  • Gives a shield which reduces damage taken by 90% for a single hit, then breaks
  • Lasts for 15 seconds if not broken
  • Affects you and all nearby allies
  • Overwritten by the White Cipher Ring

White Cipher Ring

  • Gives a shield which reduces damage taken by 90% for a single hit, then breaks
  • Lasts for 30 seconds if not broken
  • Only affects you
  • Overwritten by the Blue Cipher Ring

Taunter’s Tongue

  • Reduces the damage negation of all enemies in a huge radius by 50%, but increases their damage dealt by 50% too
  • Every enemy in the radius will be briefly staggered, then instantly aggro onto you (even through walls, floors, and ceilings)
  • Can’t use your flask to heal during this time
  • Basically guarantees that enemies will prioritize attacking you if playing co-op
  • Lasts for 30 seconds

Tarnished’s Wizened Finger / Finger Severer

  • Unchanged, as they have gameplay purposes in offline mode
  • You need the normal Wizened Finger to open the door at the beginning of the game
  • Finger Severer can still banish summoned cooperators

Compatibilities:

Optional file is compatible with Detailed Item Descriptions by Dziggy and contains detailed descriptions for the mod’s items

  • Only .csv and text merge files are included

Optional file is compatible with Elden Ring Reforged by Kirnifr and ivi

  • Only .csv and text merge files are included
  • Only includes this mod’s assets, so you must manually merge the text from this mod into your ERR installation
  • KalĂ© sells the Small Golden Effigy, as ERR replaces its normal location with the Oracle’s Effigy

Somewhat incompatible with mods that change multiplayer item placements

  • The items will work, but you must give them to yourself directly through Cheat Engine or something else

Potential issues:

If you’re playing an existing character, only items you haven’t picked up yet will have the new effects

  • You can trade in the items you’ve already picked up for the new versions in the crafting menu

VarrĂ©’s quest might require the original version of the Festering Bloody Finger item to invade Magnus the Beast Claw

  • You can trade the new Festering Bloody Finger in for the old version in the crafting men

General installation:

First, download Mod Engine 2 at this link and follow the installation process there if you don’t have it already.
(Optionally, follow the instructions for making ME2 work with Seamless Coop)

Method 1:

1. Extract the contents of the “multiplayer-items” folder to the “mod” folder in your Mod Engine directory

2. Launch Elden Ring through ME2

This is the easiest method, but it will overwrite any regulation and text mods you have installed in your mod folder. Keep a backup if you need to.

Method 2:

1. Extract the “multiplayer-items” folder to your Mod Engine directory

2. Open the file “config_eldenring.toml” and add this line to your mod list:

{ enabled = true, name = “multiplayer-items”, path = “multiplayer-items” },

(The mod folder is not required and is only here for demonstration purposes)

3. Save and launch Elden Ring through ME2

This method is more advanced, but it allows you to avoid potentially overwriting other mods you have installed. It’s not necessary, but I personally recommend it.

Merging:

Included in the “merge files” folder are the .csv files required for merging your regulation.bin, under the “csv” folder.
To merge your regulation files, open the file you want to add this mod to in DS Map Studio and merge the following .csv files.

AtkParam_Pc
Bullet
EquipMtrlSetParam
EquipParamGoods
ItemLotParam_map
ShopLineupParam
ShopLineupParam_Recipe (only “Furlcalling Finger Remedy” and “[Trade-back] Festering Bloody Finger” are needed if you’re using a new character)
SpEffectParam

If having trouble merging ShopLineupParam_Recipe, you can manually change the row ids and it will not affect much of anything. However, you must keep the IDs between the first and last named items in the param, else they will not appear in the crafting menu.

I’ve also included the raw text files for editing and packaging with DS Map Studio in the merge files folder. You only need to do this if you already have another mod which replaces text.
