More Deathblight Magic (M.D.M)
My mod intends to improve on the HEINOUSLY bad Int/Fth build options provided in Elden Ring. Options given like the Prince of Deaths staff simply do not suffice, being outscaled by almost every staff until 80/80. My mod will not only improve such things, but add many deathblight based spells to the game.
PLEASE NOTE : THIS MOD IS NOT UP TO DATE FOR 1.07 AND WILL NOT BE UNTIL THE FIRST SPELL IS COMPLETE. I HAVE BEEN WORKING RELENTLESSLY EVERY DAY TO MAKE THIS SPELL FUNCTIONAL, AND FANTASTIC. WHILE I LEARN HOW TO UNDO WHAT TEST WORK I ADDED BUT DO NOT WANT TO KEEP, AND WHILE I MAKE NEW CONTENT THE MOD WILL NOT BE UP TO DATE! Hello! I am Spicoceles, also known on discord as Ballschanov. I’m a quiet resident modder at ?Servername? and I’m just learning the ropes.
Since the first time I saw the Wormface enemies in Elden Ring, I intended to learn everything about what a player can do to utilize the games strongest, but most criminally under-tuned status it has : Death Blight. What this mod will do varies, but what I intend to do in the end with it NOW is to make it functional, adding new spells to the game and weapons and hopefully a new casting tool for Int/Faith incantations, particularly for the blight variety!
Some changes include:
- Buffing the Prince of Death’s staff to have slightly more scaling at higher levels, making it an S/S scaling at +10. This may sound strong, but the improvement made to the staffs scaling numbers is so minimal, it seems to have been on the border of being a strong option already.
- Buffing such spells like Tibia’s Summons, widely regarded as the worst spell in the ENTIRE game for dealing damage. It has a total casting time of a combined (two animations) 4.966 seconds long, minus analog dexterity! That is heinous! I will be improving it’s casting speed and overall damage. (Edit, the spell was buffed by fromsoft and as such won’t be needing anything until I test it for it’s buffs. This is not so important right now and won’t be touched on just yet.)
- Creating ALL new spells, as a spoiler I’ll tell you my first prototype spells name, Godwyn’s Isolation. Right now, it’s a reskin of Noble Presence, another widely known terrible spell. (Note! I forgot to tell you where to get this, buy it from Kalé from the Church of Elleh at the start of the game. Do note, you can see a HIGHLY overcolored version of the prototype of the spell in the images! This is different from what you can receive now as the mod is not up to date for 1.07 yet.)
