Minimal HUD (Customizable)

Removes unnecessary HUD elements and moves many HUD elements away from the center of the screen. Many options for customization.

— For game version: 1.06.0 —

DESCRIPTION

Base Mod

The base version of this mod moves the majority of HUD elements away from the center of the screen and removes some of the non-essential HUD elements to reduce clutter. Looking at the screenshots will give you a much better idea of what the base variant of this mod does than reading the list of changes.

Customization Options

  • Compact HUD: Reduces size of HUD elements, removes status icons and summoned ally health panel, moves condition meters to below stamina meter.
  • No NPC Health Meters: Removes all NPC health meters, damage numbers on enemies when you attack them, and summoned ally health panel.
  • No Text Overlays: Removes overlay text banners (“LOST GRACE DISCOVERED”, “YOU DIED”, etc) and the condition text pop-up (poison, bleed, etc).
  • No Interact Prompts: Removes interaction prompts. (Interaction prompts will still appear if there are multiple to choose from)
  • No Compass: Removes the compass from the main HUD.

Every variant of this mod includes two options: normal backgrounds and translucent backgrounds.

Standalone Addons

  • Remove Auto-Save Icon
  • Remove Flashing Invasion and Summon Message
  • Remove Guidance of Grace on the World Map
  • Remove Loading Screen Tips
  • Remove Runes Counter
  • Remove Subtitle Background

These can all be used in addition to one of the main variants of the mod or completely on their own!

INSTALLATION

Primary Method (recommended)

  • Download and install Mod Engine 2. (Can be installed anywhere on your PC you want – doesn’t have to be in the game’s folder)
    * If you are using the Seamless Co-op mod, please refer to this guide for instructions on how to use Mod Engine 2 with it.
  • Download and extract the variant of the mod you want.
  • Choose whether you want normal background or translucent backgrounds, and open that folder.
  • Move the “menu” folder to be inside Mod Engine 2’s “mod” folder.
  • Launch the game through Mod Engine 2.

Secondary Method

  • Download the UXM Selective Unpacker tool.
  • Use UXM to fully unpack all of the game’s files. (This will use up another 50 GB of hard drive space and the original packed files cannot be deleted)
  • Use UXM to patch the game’s executable file. (This allows the game to load the unpacked files instead of the original packed files)
  • Download and extract the variant of the mod you want.
  • Choose whether you want normal background or translucent backgrounds, and open that folder.
  • Move the “menu” folder to the game’s main install directory, overwriting the original files.
  • You will need to find a way to disable the game’s anti-cheat. There are several different methods to do this, you can search to find one you want to use.

Each variant of the mod might modify different files, and the files modified may change when this mod is updated.
I recommend removing the files from the previous variant or version when switching or updating.
