101 Sorceries
A magic overhaul that significantly extends the practicality of sorceries while focusing on faith to the original game’s design.
101 Sorceries is a magic overhaul that replaces every single incantation in the game with a sorcery counterpart.
Currently compatible with “Seamless Co-op”.
I am trying to make this as merge-friendly with “The Convergence” as I possibly can, but both mods have a ton of overlap, so conflicts are to be expected. A full merge will likely be more comfortable ONLY If you’re 100% focused on doing a sorcery playthrough.
Mechanics:
- Blessed Dew Talisman now offers passive FP regen, offered as a gift in the Character Menu
- New starting classes like Stormcaller, Necromancer and Starliege that all start out the player with new modded spells
- New catalysts that offer buffs to new sorcery types
- Rebalanced original sorceries to make them more friendly towards the nature of the mod, encouraging certain playstyles with certain sorcery types, etc.
- Modified “Mind” stat scaling to offer more FP
Sorceries are placed in mostly lore-accurate locations (to the best of my knowledge) but some do not make sense and will be found in unexpected, albeit equally “important” locations where you would normally find an item of the same tier. There’s a cheat sheet below detailing rough locations of all the new sorceries. Please only look at it if you don’t want to play through the game and find the sorceries yourself.
Installation with Mod Engine 2:
- Download ModEngine2 ► https://github.com/soulsmods/ModEngine2/releases
- Click the Assets drop down menu, and download the top file
- Extract contents of the zip file into your “mod” folder. Make sure it’s in the same directory as “modengine2_launcher.exe”
- Click “launchmod_eldenring.bat” to launch the mod
Setting Up Gideon:
This mod uses Gideon – UI Texture Deployer by Ivi. There is a shortcut in the zip folder called “Setup UI Images”. Please click on it and follow the directions it gives you prior to launching the mod.
Feedback:
I do plan to regularly update this mod with reported bugs, problems, and eventually new ideas for the mod. Keep in mind this mod was made by one person with a full-time job outside of modding, so some changes might take a while to implement. Here are some other sources in the meantime:
Other Things You Should Know:
- Expect regular balancing updates
- Quickstep animation is currently uh, weird… Hopefully will fix it within the next week
- Images will soon be provided alongside the new classes in the character menu
- I will be updating all my past mods soon. This mod has just taken a lot of time
- You do not need my permission to make videos about the mod or post it or eat it for breakfast or whatever the hell. Just credit me and I’ll be happy.
